The application has an inbuilt measuring tool. To activate, right click anywhere on the map screen and a "Start from here" text will appear. You can begin to measure from this point with the preset white dotted line. If you want to end the measurement, double click on the last mapping point. This will display the total perimeter and the area in square metres.
If you wish to move the lines to create a custom shape, click on any of the dots and drag to its ideal position.
You can create multiple measurement lines on the one map. Start the process again by right clicking on the map and begin your measurement.
Deleting a line - Right click on the point and the last line will disappear.
Differentiate the lines and the shapes by colours and line thickness. Click anywhere on the line and three icons will appear;
Icon 1 - Paint - Click on what colour you want to select. You have a choice of 7.
Icon 2 - Line Type - Solid or Dashed
Icon 3 - Line Thickness - Select the thickness of the line as you want it to appear.
The measurement line can have multiple colours and thickness depending on what it is you want to present.
The measuring tool has creative uses in Canibuild. Lets go through some examples;
Plumbing - Display on the property the location of the sewer or storm water lines. When siting your plan, you may want to avoid the line or be at a certain distance from it.
Custom shape - You can build any shape with corners so wrap around balconies, garden beds or pergolas.
Fence and toilet location - need to measure how many fence panels you need or do you want to separate the build from the main house and show the client what that would look like?
Delivery drop zone - allocate an area for deliveries
